DID YOU KNOW THAT:

Master Gardeners staff a horticulture hotline Monday -Friday from 8:30-4:30?  These knowledgeable volunteers have access to the latest research from Texas A&M and can mail or email fact sheets on dozens of topics from managing fire ants to  identifying and treating problems with your St Augustine lawn. See just one example.  Call 817-884-1944 to make use of this educational resource.

Your organization can make use of the TCMGA Speakers bureau, a group of volunteers or Extension professionals specifically trained to present horticultural topics using slides, computer pictures, and demonstrations. If you are a member of a neighborhood associations, civic group, school, garden club, scout troup, church. library or nursing home and would like to feature a horticultural topic, contact Texas Cooperative Extension at 817-884-1944 to make arrangements.  Click here to see a list of current topics.

There are many internet websites that are designed to support the gardening community.  Follow this link to see some of them.

The TCMGA site features Seasonal Hints each month.

It seems like we are all becoming more aware of our valuable water resources.  Click on this picture to see a PowerPoint Presentation of ways to Harvest the Rain in your yard.  If you like what  you see, contact the Master Gardener Hotline for the full presentation or to schedule a speaker for your group!
